Laser Fat Loss, Skin Tightening & Consultation FAQs

What treatments does Laser Body Renewal offer?

We specialize in non-invasive body contouring and skin rejuvenation, including Emerald Laser fat loss, UltraSlim red light body contouring, NeoGen PSR plasma skin tightening, and digital body composition scans. We also offer a professional skincare line designed to support and protect your results.

Where are your offices located?

Laser Body Renewal has four offices: Wilton, CT serving the Norwalk and Stamford area, Glastonbury, CT serving the Hartford area, Branford, CT serving the New Haven area, and Plainview, NY serving Long Island. Our offices are open Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.

How does Emerald Laser work?

Emerald Laser uses low-level green laser light to gently open fat cells so they release their contents, which your body then naturally flushes away. It mimics your body’s own fat-release process (lipolysis) instead of freezing, heating, or destroying tissue. You can learn more on our laser technology page.

Is Emerald Laser FDA cleared?

Yes. Emerald Laser is FDA market-cleared for full body circumference reduction and is the only device of its kind cleared for people with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of up to 40.

Does laser fat loss hurt, and is there downtime?

No. Emerald Laser and UltraSlim treatments are painless and non-invasive. There are no needles, incisions, or anesthesia, and most clients return to work and normal activities right after their session.

How long is each Emerald Laser session?

Each Emerald Laser session lasts about 30 minutes, making it easy to fit treatment into a lunch break or busy workday.

How often should I schedule my laser sessions?

For the best results, Emerald Laser sessions are typically scheduled one to two times per week, spaced roughly three to five days apart. This gives your body time to eliminate the released fat between visits.

When will I see results from laser fat loss?

Fat reduction begins after your first session, but most clients notice visible changes within three to four weeks, with more substantial results between four and 12 weeks.

Are the results permanent?

Results can last indefinitely as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle and stable weight. Our team will share nutrition and lifestyle strategies to help you protect your progress.

What is the difference between Emerald Laser and UltraSlim?

Emerald Laser is a full body treatment cleared for people with a BMI up to 40. UltraSlim uses patented red light therapy and is our go-to option for spot fat reduction in people with a BMI of 30 or less. Your consultation and body scan help determine which technology fits your goals.

How does laser lipo compare to CoolSculpting?

Both are non-invasive, but laser lipo is painless, has no downtime, treats the full body, and works for a wider range of body types, while CoolSculpting can cause cramping, soreness, or bruising. See our full Laser Lipo vs. CoolSculpting comparison for details.

What is NeoGen PSR?

NeoGen PSR (Plasma Skin Regeneration) uses nitrogen plasma energy, not a laser, to tighten skin, smooth wrinkles, improve pigmentation and acne scars, and stimulate new collagen on the face and body. Visit our skin tightening page to learn more.

Is NeoGen PSR safe for all skin types?

Yes. NeoGen PSR is FDA-cleared and safe for all skin types across the Fitzpatrick scale. Darker skin tones may be treated with a modified protocol and pre-treatment skincare to protect pigmentation.

How much downtime is there after NeoGen PSR?

There is no true downtime, but you can expect redness and flaking as the skin renews, often called social downtime, for about three to seven days. Following our pre-care and after-care instructions helps you heal quickly and get the best results.

What happens during my consultation?

Your consultation includes a conversation about your goals and health history, a 3D digital body composition scan to measure your target areas and BMI, and a personalized treatment recommendation if we believe we can help you.

Is there a deposit to book a consultation?

Yes. A $250 fully refundable deposit reserves your consultation time. It is refunded after you attend your consultation or, if you prefer, credited toward a session package. Deposits are only kept for missed consultations or cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice.

How much do your treatments cost?

A single Emerald Laser session is $700, and multi-session packages start at $3,000 for 10 sessions, lowering the cost per session. NeoGen PSR is priced by treatment area. View our Emerald Laser pricing and NeoGen PSR pricing pages for full details.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We accept CareCredit and offer affordable payment plans through Cherry, with monthly payment options that make treatment packages easier to fit into your budget.

Do you offer memberships for ongoing sessions?

Yes. Established clients who have completed multi-session packages may be invited to join our exclusive membership program, which offers continued laser sessions at member-only monthly rates.
