The First 48 Hours
- Do not cleanse the treated area during the first 48 hours.
- Do not to over expose your treated skin to the sun.
- Blotchiness and redness is normal for 24-48 hours post treatment.
- Twice daily starting on the day of your treatment, gently blot (NOT WIPE) off any remaining/residual “CeraVee Deep Healing Ointment” (blue tube). Next apply “Dermal Reset” -Exosomes (white bottle) over the treated areas.
- Reapply CeraVee Deep Healing ointment on top of the Dermal Reset creating a thin oily barrier.
- Blotchy redness post treatment should subside within 24-48 hours after treatment. If it lingers longer then 48 hours please contact our office for a skin check.
Days 3 to 5 – Before Complete Flaking
- Contact us if you have continued pain, blistering, oozing, or concerns about itching in the treated area.
- After the first 48 hours, a mild cleanser (NOT glycolic acid based) can be used daily. Apply the skin cleanser by dabbing or patting it with your hands and then rinse gently. – No tearing or scrubbing over the treated areas.
- After cleansing, to ease any discomfort such as itching you may use over the counter hydrocortisone cream.
- For optimal results, keep the skin densely hydrated & continue electrolyte supplementation for one week.
- No need to keep applying the Cera Vee ointment unless you are told to still use it. Continue to use the Dermal Reset Cream twice daily until the bottle runs out (usually within 7-10 days post session). After it runs out you can return to using any good quality moisturizer that you have.
- Do not pick! Picking may result in an infection or scar.
- The treated skin will generally flake within 3 to 10 days. The old skin will come off as you wash. It may be difficult to see flaking. As your skin flakes, there may be some areas that are lighter or darker. This will even out over time.
- Abstain from intense exercise (heavy sweating) 5 days post-treatment.
- Use sunblock over the treated areas when extended sun exposure is a possibility.
- You can begin using makeup again on day 3 and beyond but be careful about removing makeup (see bullet 2 process).
Follow Up and Pictures – 30 day, 60 day, 90 day, 120 days, 150 days, 180 days
- It is helpful to have pictures of the treated area(s) done at regular 30 day intervals. It will help determine when the ideal time to apply the next NeoGen treatment would be and indicate if or when a touch up is needed.
- New tissue growth is a painstakingly gradual process and nearly impossible to notice by simply looking in a mirror daily. Consistent HD pictures taken at the same light settings, room light conditions, the same color backdrop, and same camera are the only way we can assess how your NeoGen treatment results are progressing.
- We expect to visualize changes between 60 days (after the top “epidermis” layer of skin is turned over) and 180 days post treatment. – Be patient, everyone responds at a different pace.
- Keeping yourself well hydrated and avoiding sunburns in the area is the most impactful thing you can to to help with your results.
